The Black Halo Racing axle shafts were designed for the serious racer/competitor. The factory axles are prone to breakage at rear wheel power levels in excess of 400 h.p. However, as has been the case with Mazda’s tripod joints, the RX-8′s rear joints are of excellent quality and are capable of withstanding over 800 h.p.

To save you money, BHR has designed an axle replacement set that takes full advantage of the capacity of the factory joints and includes both left and right axle shafts, all 4 flex boots, all 4 boot clamps, and 4 tubes of high-quality grease.

The axles are also black-oxided to prevent rust/oxidation during us and are made excxlusively by The Driveshaft shop.

When it comes to your powertrain the flywheel can be a limiting factor due to it’s mass.  While, at slightly less than 17 lbs., the RX-8 has a lighter flywheel than most production vehicles Black Halo Racing has gone further to develop a much lighter alternative.  Our 9.0 lb. flywheel removes rotating mass in critical areas allowing more power to be translated to the wheels where you want it.

Our flywheel also has replaceable friction faces allowing you to reuse the flywheel if necessary instead of having to buy  a replacement should the need arise.

The Black Halo Racing RX8 Fuel Pump Upgrade is the solution to the RX8′s starvation-prone factory fuel pump.  BHR provides a brand new Mazda fuel pump housing assembly with a Walbro performance fuel pump motor, completely pre-assembled for the easiest and most convenient installation, with no need to return the old housing to us.

We have not yet verified fitment of this product on the “S2″ units of the RX-8.

It it widely known that the ignition coils on the Mazda RX-8 are weak and suffer from reliability issues, even on unmodified engines, as early as 30,000 miles and weak ignition coils often result in poor catalytic converter performance or, worse, destruction of the cat.  When forced induction, nitrous or any kind of track racing occurs you need to have an ignition system that is reliable with higher electrical output.

The Black Halo Racing Ignition System addresses these concerns in a very simple manner.  Our patent-pending coil conversion harness allows a true “plug-and-play” installation that doesn’t require you to cut, splice or otherwise alter any wiring in your RX8.  The GM ignition coils we use emit more current and voltage than the Mazda ignition coils while providing much longer life over the stock system.  The GM coils are used in many racing applications and rival any coil in the aftermarket.

This kit is a must have for any RX8 owner and requires no tuning or other modifications to function properly.

When using an aftermarket intake you are left with few options.  Either you remove the plastic under-tray or you leave it there.  The BHR Intake Shroud gives you not only a cleaner look but also allows you to customize how you display your intake.

This unit will eliminate the stock airbox under tray in aftermarket cold air intake and turbo applications.  This Intake Shroud will fit with any intake that fits within the area of the factory airbox.  It utilizes the factory rubber mounts (4) for a stock bolt pattern.

The lid has a 3/8″ Polycarbonate Plastic insert in the Rotor shape cutout engraved with the Black Halo Racing logo.

This insert will also be fit with 4 LED’s, Red, Blue, Green, White. Your choice of color.

The Intake Shroud includes the bottom panel, side panels and a top cover as well as all mounting hardware.  The back is open on the engine side.  The Intake Shroud is available in a variety of colors and prices.

It’s a known fact that rotary engines run hot.  This means that the RX8′s cooling system is one of the most important parts of the vehicle.  As such, BHR has examined the shortcomings of the stock radiator and worked with Griffin to produce a radiator that can handle the cooling demands of the RENESIS engine.

The BHR radiator utilizes a core design which results in an increased airflow through the radiator and allows quicker reduction of cooling temperatures.  We have taken extra steps to ensure perfect fitment and ease of installation as well as compatibility with popular forced-induction kits.

The core size and design has been used in LS-powered applications with as much as 700 h.p.

If you live in a hot climate, run any kind of boosted application or use your RX8 on the race track then this radiator will be the key element in making sure your cooling system stays cool in any situation!

The Black Halo Racing Midpipe is a 3-inch pipe design with a single resonator (exclusive to Black Halo Racing) and we’ve proven that you don’t need two resonators to quiet down the RENESIS as well as providing a great sound.  This pipe does both with unmatched build quality and durability.  By utilizing a resonator which has no internal packing our midpipe will maintain it’s tone virtually forever.  Our midpipe also provides OEM fitment and will bolt up to the stock exhaust manifold as well as any cat-back exhaust system that uses stock mounting points.

All necessary hardware and gaskets are included.

The BHR Mid-Pipe is also available with a DaveSport Performance cat, second oxygen sensor “bung”, and a polished finish.

The Black Halo Racing “Stealth” nitrous nozzle utilizes a 1/16″ NPT thread/bulkhead fitting for the ultimate in hidden nozzle installation and is largely intended to be used with BHR’s own Throttle Body Spacer.

At Black Halo Racing we’re all about being subtle while being original.  The development of our stealth nozzle meets both of these goals.  Utilizing a low-profile design, this nozzle easily hides out of view giving you a sleek and virtually hidden installation for any nitrous system.  Combined with the BHR throttle body spacer this is an excellent item for hiding the fact that your RX8 is equipped with a nitrous oxide system.

The Black Halo Racing Throttle Body Spacer mounts between the throttle body and plastic upper intake manifold and is intended for use with standard 1/8″ SPT alcohol nozzles, standard 1/8″ NPT nitrous oxide nozzles, and BHR’s own Stealth nitrous nozzle.

One of the biggest issues when installing a nitrous or water/meth injection kit is installing the nozzle.  Whether your tapping the intake or your upper intake manifold you are forced to make permanent alterations to your vehicle and those nozzles tend to be visible as well.

The Black Halo Racing Throttle Body Spacer takes care of all those issues.  Our spacer requires no cutting or alterations to any part of your intake system.  Using the BHR stealth nozzle, the spacer provides an almost completely hidden installation while giving you the option of returning to stock.  The BHR logo is proudly displayed on the top!

The spacer includes the bolts and a genuine Mazda o-ring for factory-type performance/installation ease.
